The Senior Specialist – Electro Mechanical Operations & Maintenance role at Omantel Head Office operates within the Technology and Infrastructure unit under the Technical Operations division. The position is responsible for providing comprehensive management, operation, maintenance, fault attendance, fault clearance, and power-related support to the Infrastructure Services department. The role focuses on maintaining essential electro-mechanical equipment and components with an emphasis on sustainability, safety, efficiency, cost optimization, and optimal utilization of resources. This is a local, predominantly on-site role supporting broader Operations functions. Responsibilities span power system dimensioning, technology trend analysis, development and implementation of operational processes and procedures in compliance with internal policies and legislative regulations, preparation of budgets based on forecasts, identification and upgrading of obsolete systems, KPI tracking, maintenance scheduling, compliance with Omantel PPM processes, fault management, ATP participation, database development for sites and equipment, preventive and corrective maintenance oversight, field audits, energy efficiency initiatives, OPEX optimization, 24-hour liaison with Omantel NOC, spare parts logistics management, subcontractor supervision, CAPEX and OPEX budget support, HVAC capacity monitoring, site surveys, acceptance testing, PAC and FAC certification, documentation, reporting, and continuous improvement of operational policies and standards.
