Job description
Turner & Townsend is seeking a Senior Project Manager to oversee day-to-day delivery of large-scale data centre projects in Doha. The role involves acting as the primary client interface, ensuring projects meet time, cost, quality, sustainability, and safety targets. This position requires strong pre-contract and post-contract experience, technical knowledge of building projects, and the ability to manage complex teams and stakeholders across all project stages.

Key responsibilities
- Develop and manage governance, communication, and management control systems to ensure effective project delivery
- Monitor team performance, safety, and adherence to management systems
- Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies
- Lead weekly technical and progress meetings and stage gateway reviews
- Manage design stage deliverables and coordinate with fast-track procurement and permitting requirements
- Attend site visits to monitor HSSE, logistics, and project progress
- Prepare formal reports on project progress against baseline, milestones, and KPIs
- Manage contracts and ensure timely issuance of invoices and receipts
- Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and key stakeholders to maintain strong relationships and project alignment
Experience & skills
- Minimum 8 years of project management experience in building projects, preferably in data centres
- Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent technical qualification
- Strong understanding of construction processes, commercial and contractual matters
- Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Buildings sector experience
- Experience with governance, reporting, and risk management in complex projects
- Desirable: Recognised Project Management Qualification
- Desirable: Membership or chartership of professional industry body (e.g., RICS)
