Job description
Reporting directly to the founders of a Dubai-based private investment group, this Investment Director works on a new media investment platform alongside a wide range of private investments and operating businesses in the UK and the Middle East. Deal screening comes first, assessing opportunities across media, private investments and portfolio company transactions in several asset classes and sectors. Financial models and valuations are built from the ground up, often for businesses whose financial information is complex or informal. Due diligence runs end to end under your lead, covering data rooms, advisors, reference checks and financial analysis. Negotiations on investment terms, shareholder agreements, earn-outs and commercial arrangements need careful structuring, and investment committees expect concise papers and clear recommendations. After close, the work shifts to execution, integration, value creation, board reporting and support for refinancing, acquisitions and disposals. Portfolio companies sometimes need hands-on help, including on-site assessments and problem-solving. Candidates should bring 10 to 15 years in private equity, principal investing, family offices or investment management, ideally focused on media, technology or consumer sectors, with experience executing both minority and control transactions.
