Job description
The Data and Analytics Manager at Cigna Worldwide Insurance Company, based in Riyadh, is responsible for establishing and leading the local Data and Analytics (D&A) function, managing a team of data professionals, and driving data-driven decision-making across business units. The role focuses on leading the transition of business reporting and data processes to localized systems while ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and accessibility of enterprise data. This position plays a key role in advancing Cigna’s digital transformation in Saudi Arabia by implementing strong data governance, enhancing reporting automation, and developing data analytics frameworks that support regulatory, operational, and strategic needs. The Data and Analytics Manager oversees the extraction, reconciliation, and transformation of data from multiple systems to support key business functions including actuarial, underwriting, compliance, operations, sales, and finance. The role requires strong technical expertise in data platforms, business intelligence tools, and programming languages, as well as leadership ability to mentor and develop a high-performing analytics team while collaborating with IT and business stakeholders to drive innovation and continuous improvement.

- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of data analysts to foster a high-performance and growth-oriented culture
- Establish and implement performance objectives, feedback mechanisms, and professional development plans for the D&A team
- Oversee the transition of data-dependent processes and business reporting from legacy to local systems with minimal operational disruption
- Design and maintain conceptual and logical data models aligned with enterprise architecture standards
- Implement and enforce data governance and management practices to ensure data integrity, quality, and consistency across systems
- Manage data extraction and reconciliation from various platforms to support actuarial, underwriting, and financial functions
- Develop and maintain reporting capabilities for compliance, operations, sales, and client management teams
- Lead the creation and automation of reporting pipelines using enterprise BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik
- Drive the shift from manual reporting to automated solutions, ensuring data accuracy and reconciliation with source systems
- Collaborate with IT, business, and operational stakeholders to define integration and transformation requirements
- Work with internal teams to ensure analytics solutions meet departmental needs and align with corporate objectives
- Identify and implement new tools, technologies, and methodologies to optimize data processes and enhance reporting efficiency
- Support regulatory and operational reporting requirements by maintaining robust data architecture and governance frameworks
- Champion innovation, continuous improvement, and data-driven culture within the organization
Experience & skills
- Hold a bachelor’s degree in mathematics, data science, actuarial science, or a related field
- Possess 6–10 years of experience in data analytics or business intelligence, preferably within the Saudi Arabian medical insurance industry
- Have 3–5 years of management experience in data analytics, leading teams and overseeing complex data operations
- Demonstrate proficiency in BI and analytics tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, Alteryx, SQL, Python, or R
- Show strong experience in designing and implementing data models, business dashboards, and automated reporting systems
- Exhibit expertise in data governance, data architecture, and reconciliation processes
- Proven ability to collaborate across departments including IT, operations, and finance to deliver analytics solutions
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex insights to diverse audiences
- Demonstrated adaptability to dynamic environments and a focus on innovation and continuous improvement
- Experience in regulatory reporting and data management within insurance or healthcare sectors preferred
