The Director of Sales & Marketing at a luxury 5 star beach resort located on the East Crescent of Palm Jumeirah in Dubai plays a pivotal executive leadership role in shaping commercial strategy, driving sustainable revenue growth, and enhancing every touchpoint of the hotelās market presence across domestic and international markets. Based at Sofitel Dubai The Palm, a French-Polynesian inspired sanctuary nestled on the shores of the Arabian Gulf and positioned as a tropical and relaxing escape within the vibrant metropolis of Dubai, the role balances the art and science of luxury hospitality by integrating revenue performance analysis with refined brand expression. The mandate encompasses crafting and executing comprehensive Sales & Marketing strategy frameworks designed to position the hotel as the destination of choice for luxury travellers, while ensuring alignment with overall business objectives and commercial targets. The Director is accountable for setting, managing, and delivering departmental budgets for Sales, Marketing, and Conference & Events Sales, driving measurable commercial performance, maximising occupancy, increasing RevPAR, and strengthening overall market share within the competitive UAE luxury hotel landscape. The position requires continuous market trend analysis, competitor analysis, and evaluation of economic conditions to proactively adapt strategy and capitalise on emerging opportunities. Core responsibilities include KPI tracking, preparing detailed and insightful reports, conducting revenue forecasting with a specific focus on Meetings & Events revenue forecasting, and delivering actionable recommendations to the Executive Team and General Manager to optimise revenue performance. The role also demands strong knowledge of marketing streams, digital marketing, and social media marketing to enhance visibility and brand positioning across relevant channels. As a senior commercial leader, the Director represents the hotel at industry events, trade shows, networking functions, client meetings, and sales trips, driving promotional initiatives that generate meaningful connections and convert new business opportunities. Proficiency in hotel management systems and hotel management software is essential to support operational efficiency, reporting accuracy, and performance monitoring. The Director must demonstrate advanced customer relationship management capabilities and well-refined sales techniques to source and convert key business opportunities, build and maintain long-term relationships with clients and internal stakeholders, and ensure the continued growth and prestige of the luxury hospitality brand in the UAE market.

- Craft and execute Sales & Marketing strategies across domestic and international markets to position the hotel as the destination of choice for luxury travellers while driving revenue performance and commercial growth.
- Lead, mentor, supervise, and empower the Sales & Marketing team and Conference & Events Sales department to foster measurable results and alignment with overall commercial objectives.
- Set, manage, and deliver budgets for Sales, Marketing, and Conference & Events Sales departments while ensuring effective budget management and achievement of revenue performance targets.
- Monitor market trends, competitor insights, and economic conditions and adapt strategies to maximise occupancy, optimise RevPAR, and strengthen market share within the luxury hospitality sector.
- Prepare insightful commercial reports, track KPIs, and conduct Meetings & Events revenue forecasting to provide actionable guidance to the Executive Team and General Manager.
- Represent the hotel at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to build brand visibility and generate meaningful business connections.
- Lead client meetings, organise and participate in sales trips, and implement promotional initiatives that raise visibility and attract new business opportunities.
- Drive commercial performance by identifying, sourcing, and converting key business opportunities in alignment with Sales & Marketing strategies and market positioning objectives.
Experience & skills
- Demonstrate 5 to 6 years of experience in a similar role within a luxury hotel, including significant Sales and Marketing experience in luxury hotels in the UAE.
- Exhibit demonstrated ability to source and convert key business opportunities within the luxury hospitality segment.
- Hold a Bachelorās degree in Business or a related field as a foundational academic qualification.
- Possess strong knowledge of marketing streams including digital marketing and social media marketing relevant to luxury hotel positioning.
- Maintain proficiency in hotel management systems and hotel management software to support operational reporting and commercial performance tracking.
- Apply well-refined sales techniques and customer relationship management practices to build and maintain relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Lead, supervise, and coordinate a multi-skilled team within the Sales & Marketing function to ensure structured execution of strategies and achievement of measurable results.
- Operate effectively in a fast-paced environment by applying problem-solving capabilities and adapting strategies in response to market trends, competitor insights, and evolving economic conditions.
