Job description
The Global Senior Manager – Finance (Freight Forwarding) at DP World is responsible for providing strategic financial leadership and operational excellence for the global freight forwarding business. Acting as a senior finance partner to the Global Head of Finance – Freight Forwarding, the role involves designing and embedding global finance policies, processes, and systems to ensure scalable growth and strong financial governance. Key responsibilities include working with regional finance leaders to ensure compliance with financial control frameworks, enhancing finance service delivery via the Shared Services Centre, managing global financial KPIs, and driving performance management through BI analytics tools. The role also supports the financial integration of acquisitions, oversees financial reporting and performance for the NVOCC unit Smart Solutions Line, and coordinates with Group Treasury to optimize liquidity management. The position requires extensive experience in freight forwarding finance leadership, shared service operations, technical accounting, and project delivery. Located in Dubai, this is a high-impact role within DP World's transformation towards an integrated, future-ready supply chain.

Key responsibilities
- Design and implement standardized global financial processes, policies, and procedures for the freight forwarding business
- Develop and deploy global KPIs for consistent and effective financial management across all regions
- Collaborate with regional finance teams and the Global Shared Services Centre to align financial operations and improve productivity
- Define SLA/KPI frameworks for GSSC outputs and proactively resolve escalations
- Partner with Group Treasury to implement a global liquidity management strategy optimizing ROCE
- Work with Group Technology to enhance financial workflows across CargoesRunner, Oracle Fusion, BI Analytics, and local ERPs
- Facilitate regional financial performance reviews and conduct variance and peer benchmarking analyses
- Collaborate with the BI team to deliver financial dashboards and analytics tools for decision-making
- Lead or support financial integration of newly acquired companies ensuring reporting and system alignment
- Oversee financial reporting and performance management for Smart Solutions Line (NVOCC), ensuring compliance with VAT and governance standards
Experience & skills
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in a financial field or equivalent experience
- Be a Chartered Accountant or equivalent if degree is non-financial
- Have more than 10 years of experience in freight forwarding finance at a regional or country leadership level
- Have experience in shared service centre operations, preferably including implementation
- Possess technical accounting qualifications and capabilities
- Demonstrate strong project management and analytical skills
- Have experience scaling businesses from an immature base to high growth
