Job description
The Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) Administrator – Pre-Authorization at King’s College Hospital London – Dubai is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all aspects of the revenue cycle with a primary focus on pre-authorization. The role ensures timely approvals, accurate claims submission, proper payment allocation, and strong relationships with payers. The RCM Administrator works closely with multiple internal stakeholders to maintain compliance, optimize operational efficiency, and contribute to the hospital’s financial performance.

Key responsibilities
- Manage pre-authorization requests for patients, coordinating with insurance providers to secure timely approvals for medical procedures and treatments
- Ensure accurate claims submission in accordance with payer guidelines, verifying patient eligibility, coverage, and authorization requirements
- Oversee payment collection and allocation, reconciling accounts and ensuring accurate posting to patient records
- Maintain and develop strong relationships with insurance payers, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and supporting dispute management
- Collaborate with clinical, administrative, and finance teams to streamline revenue cycle processes and ensure smooth workflow
- Monitor and maintain compliance with UAE healthcare insurance regulations, internal policies, and hospital procedures
- Assist in reporting and analyzing revenue cycle metrics to identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement
- Support training and guidance for junior staff members on pre-authorization and claims processes
Experience & skills
- Previous experience in Revenue Cycle Management within a healthcare setting, preferably hospitals or large clinics
- Strong understanding of UAE insurance processes, pre-authorization requirements, and payer guidelines
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- High attention to detail with strong data accuracy and record-keeping abilities
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with payers and internal teams
- Proficiency in healthcare software systems for claims processing, billing, and patient records
- Ability to analyze and troubleshoot issues in the revenue cycle process
