Job description
The Manager, Global Privacy, Saudi Arabia is responsible for executing Johnson & Johnsonâs privacy program within the Innovative Medicine and MedTech sectors, ensuring compliance with internal policies and local data protection laws. This strategic role involves acting as a Data Protection Officer, managing privacy risks, advising on new business models, and representing the Global Privacy function in internal and external forums. The role supports cross-departmental compliance efforts and participates in global privacy program initiatives.

Key responsibilities
- Establish and maintain relationships across business, legal, and IT functions to represent the Global Privacy function.
- Ensure compliance with evolving legal and regulatory privacy requirements in Saudi Arabia.
- Serve as Data Protection Officer (DPO) where required and interface with regulators.
- Manage privacy incidents and collaborate with management on responses.
- Advise business units on privacy risks using privacy by design principles.
- Support new business models and growth strategies through privacy compliance.
- Prepare for and support internal and external privacy audits.
- Participate in compliance committees and leadership teams.
- Collaborate globally to harmonize privacy compliance approaches.
- Support global policy development and implementation in coordination with privacy operations.
- Maintain documentation for compliance including DPIAs and processing records.
- Develop and deliver training programs on privacy and data protection.
Experience & skills
- Bachelorâs degree (required); advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in privacy compliance roles.
- Strong knowledge of Saudi Arabia data protection laws.
- Experience in project management, risk mitigation, and regulatory reporting.
- Proficiency in Arabic and English (oral and written).
- Ability to translate legal and regulatory requirements into actionable business solutions.
- Experience working with regulators on privacy matters preferred.
- Familiarity with the healthcare industry is a plus.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills with a global mindset.
