Job description
SAMA regulations, VISA and MasterCard financial settlement rules and Central Bank requirements all shape the day to day of this Merchant Operations Manager role in Khobar. You manage business-as-usual activities across scheme dispute handling, scheme quarterly reporting, fraudulent transaction monitoring, scheme GL reconciliation, merchant payment reconciliation and merchant boarding, guiding team members through each. Business processes covering sales support, merchant applications, on-boarding, chargebacks, technical issues and fraud prevention get defined and documented as part of the role. Outstanding questions, issues and discrepancies get followed up on consistently, with weekly and monthly reporting covering overall business performance. Staff get led through the development and implementation of plans, tactics and activities aimed at merchant satisfaction. You act as the liaison between business units, technology teams, support teams and application vendors, taking ownership of systems and processes tied to user facing components. Third party vendors get engaged directly, and multiple initiatives run simultaneously across the merchant operations function. Escalations get raised to the appropriate resource when issues can't be resolved within a reasonable time, followed by coaching and mentoring to build knowledge across the team.
