Job description
Business Development Manager β Personal Banking (Loans & DST) within a UAE banking environment responsible for selling the entire range of personal banking products and services to retail prospects and maintaining strong relationships with existing clients. The role operates under strict banking policy, central bank guidelines, AML CTF (Anti-Money Laundering / Counter Terrorist Financing), FATCA requirements, and KYC compliance frameworks. The position requires achieving monthly sales targets, conducting targeted segment prospecting via phone calls and face-to-face visits, and delivering structured, ethical, and professional sales presentations. The role includes managing relationships with existing customers and companies to enhance cross-sell opportunities, handling payroll transfer objections, and managing approved company portfolios by developing key contacts. Responsibilities include conducting micro marketing activities such as kiosk activations and direct marketing campaigns, ensuring end-to-end customer turnaround time (TAT) compliance, maintaining CRM systems, recording all sales activities in daily sales reports, and participating in training, compliance, fraud awareness, and team activities. The role requires strict adherence to banking governance, customer onboarding policies, credit and product rules, and regulatory frameworks while ensuring high-quality documentation and operational efficiency in retail banking sales execution.

Key responsibilities
- Achieve monthly sales targets for personal banking products including loans and retail financial services while ensuring compliance with bank policies and regulatory frameworks
- Prospect targeted customer segments through structured phone calling and face-to-face visits to generate leads and convert retail banking opportunities
- Present and sell personal banking products and services to potential customers in a structured, ethical, and professional manner aligned with banking standards
- Maintain and develop relationships with existing customers and corporate clients to increase cross-sell opportunities and portfolio profitability
- Manage relationships with approved companies by developing key contacts and supporting payroll transfer and corporate acquisition initiatives
- Conduct micro marketing activities including kiosk campaigns and direct marketing initiatives to generate new business leads
- Handle customer objections related to payroll transfers and financial product adoption to drive conversions
- Ensure end-to-end customer processing turnaround time (TAT) is met for all submitted applications with quality adherence
- Ensure strict compliance with KYC, FATCA, AML CTF, and third-party channel policies in all sales activities and onboarding processes
- Record all sales activities in Daily Sales Reports and update CRM systems with accurate lead and contact information
- Participate in team activities including morning huddles, training sessions, compliance training, fraud awareness programs, and performance reviews
- Escalate suspected or actual compliance breaches to senior management and governance teams in accordance with bank policy
Experience & skills
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in banking sales within retail or personal banking environments
- Bachelorβs degree in any discipline from a recognized institution
- Strong knowledge of retail banking products, sales processes, and customer acquisition strategies
- Experience working in regulated banking environments with exposure to compliance frameworks such as AML CTF, FATCA, and KYC
- Ability to meet and exceed monthly sales targets in a competitive banking environment while maintaining service quality standards
- Strong understanding of corporate payroll acquisition processes and relationship management with corporate clients
- Experience in handling end-to-end customer onboarding including documentation, approvals, and turnaround time (TAT) management
- Ability to work in a structured sales environment involving CRM systems, reporting tools, and performance tracking mechanisms
