Job description
The Service Sales Manager - Central Region at ABB in Riyadh is responsible for leading the Service Sales team to exceed sales targets while ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction. The role focuses on managing and growing service sales across MV/LV electrical systems, including Installed Base (IB) management, lifecycle management (LCM) solutions, and technical service offerings. This includes developing and implementing service sales strategies, identifying service sales leads, collaborating with business and account teams to position service offerings, and monitoring market potential. The manager ensures the team possesses adequate selling skills, evaluates IB data, competitor solutions, and marketing trends, and establishes long-term relationships with key customers and decision-makers. The role requires oversight of team performance, participation in major contract negotiations, feedback on sales development, and adherence to ABB standard processes, quality standards, and safety guidelines.

- Lead and develop the Service Sales team to exceed sales targets and ensure high customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with the Service Sales team to generate and identify service sales leads from emerging trends and IB opportunities.
- Work with business and account teams to position various service offerings effectively.
- Drive sales efficiency by ensuring team members have adequate selling skills.
- Organize, staff, and direct the Service Sales area, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Coach the team on sales plans, negotiation techniques, and customer segment expertise.
- Create, plan, and implement service sales strategies to increase IB penetration.
- Promote value-added service product offerings supporting lifecycle management (LCM).
- Provide feedback on sales development, resource allocation, and market status reporting.
- Monitor client financial status and report risks to internal partner teams.
- Participate in negotiations for major contracts to secure service sales volume.
- Set, review, and achieve service sales targets by providing cost-effective solutions and improvement plans.
- Analyze service market potential and ensure proper customer relationship management.
- Evaluate and share relevant information on IB data, sales leads, customers, competitors, and marketing trends.
- Establish long-term relationships with key customers and decision-makers.
- Ensure customer satisfaction issues are addressed by the team.
- Support sales activities as needed and guide direct and indirect reports following ABB approaches.
Experience & skills
- 8 years of experience in electrical systems services sales and solutions.
- Minimum 2 years experience as a team manager leading sales professionals with service portfolio offerings, maintenance contracts, and customer lifecycle solutions.
- Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Enhanced knowledge of CRM platforms (Salesforce or similar).
- Proven track record in achieving service sales targets and managing high-performance sales teams.
- Ability to develop relationships with key decision-makers and end users.
- Strong strategic sales planning and team leadership skills.
- Ability to communicate fluently in English and Arabic.
