Job description
The Relationship Manager ā Financial Institutions (Eastern Europe) will manage and grow a portfolio of banking and non-banking financial institutions (NBFIs) across the region. The role focuses on deepening senior-level relationships, originating new business across GTB, Treasury, and Investment Banking products, and driving asset, deposit, and trade flow growth. The incumbent will serve as the bankās key representative in the region, ensuring proactive client engagement, strong internal coordination, and strict compliance with credit, regulatory, and operational standards.

Key responsibilities
- Develop and implement business strategy and annual budget for the Financial Institutions (FI) portfolio across Eastern Europe
- Maintain and expand strong senior-level relationships with key banks and NBFIs to enhance business growth and visibility
- Originate and execute transactions across GTB, Treasury & Markets, and Investment Banking products
- Generate revenue by driving asset growth, deposit mobilization, trade and FX flows, and cross-sell initiatives
- Ensure full compliance with internal policies and external regulations, particularly in high-risk or complex jurisdictions
- Monitor macroeconomic, geopolitical, and regulatory trends in Eastern Europe to manage exposure and identify opportunities
- Deliver tailored presentations, proposals, and product pitches to clients and institutional partners
- Work closely with internal teams including Risk, Compliance, Legal, Treasury, and Corporate Finance for deal execution
- Ensure prompt resolution of client issues related to onboarding, payments, or operations
- Strengthen the bankās FI franchise, particularly in AED clearing, DCM, and trade finance
- Maintain accurate client account plans and ensure consistent follow-up on business pipelines and action points
Experience & skills
- 7ā10 years of experience managing FI relationships across Eastern Europe within a regional or international bank
- Strong and established network within key banks and NBFIs in the region
- Proven track record in multi-product sales and cross-border transaction origination
- Comprehensive understanding of GTB, Trade Finance, Treasury, and Investment Banking products
- Solid knowledge of credit, compliance, sanctions, and AML requirements
- Strong financial modelling and credit analysis capabilities
- Excellent relationship-building, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Ability to work autonomously while coordinating across multiple internal stakeholders
- Fluency in English is essential; Russian or other Eastern European languages is a strong advantage
- Masterās degree in Finance, Economics, or a related discipline is preferred
