Job description
The Principal Success Services Engineer within Oracle CSS Tech Delivery is a senior individual contributor role responsible for delivering advanced post-sales database support and advisory services to Oracle customers in Saudi Arabia. The role serves as a primary technical authority for complex, mission-critical Oracle Database environments, supporting on-premises and cloud-based customers across Day 1 and Day 2 operational activities. The position involves deep hands-on expertise in Oracle Database administration across versions 11g, 12c, and 19c, including installation, configuration, monitoring, troubleshooting, backup and recovery, performance tuning, security, migrations, and upgrades. The role covers engineered systems such as Oracle Exadata and ZFS, Oracle GoldenGate replication, Oracle Data Guard high availability, RAC/ASM architectures, and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure services. The engineer acts as a trusted advisor to customers and internal Oracle teams, resolves highly complex escalations with minimal guidance, contributes to process improvement within CSS, supports sales cycles through technical scoping and effort estimation, and delivers expert guidance through strong business communication, presentations, and stakeholder engagement in both English and Arabic.

Key responsibilities
- Deliver advanced post-sales technical support and advisory services for Oracle Database technologies within CSS scope
- Act as an expert escalation point for complex, high-impact Oracle Database and infrastructure issues
- Install, configure, administer, and troubleshoot Oracle Databases including 11g, 12c, and 19c
- Design, implement, and manage backup, recovery, and high availability solutions using RMAN, Data Guard, RAC, and ASM
- Perform database migrations, upgrades, and data loading using Data Pump, GoldenGate, Transportable Tablespaces, and related methods
- Administer and support Oracle Exadata systems including patching, performance tuning, HA testing, and upgrades
- Conduct advanced performance troubleshooting using AWR, ADDM, ASH, SQL Tuning, SQL Profiles, SPM, and Real Application Testing
- Implement and manage database security solutions including TDE, Audit Vault, Database Vault, Data Masking, and VPD
- Deploy and manage Oracle Enterprise Manager including installation, upgrades, plugins, monitoring, and alerting
- Support Oracle Cloud Infrastructure services including IaaS, DBaaS, PaaS, networking, identity, and database services
- Provide on-site and remote support for critical customers and ensure SLA adherence
- Collaborate with internal Oracle teams and support sales cycles by contributing to solution discussions and delivery estimations
- Mentor team members and contribute to continuous improvement of CSS processes and technical capabilities
Experience & skills
- Demonstrate a minimum of ten years of experience in Oracle Database administration, support, or advisory roles
- Apply expert-level knowledge of Oracle Database technologies including Exadata, RAC, Data Guard, GoldenGate, and performance tuning
- Demonstrate strong expertise in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and hybrid cloud database environments
- Apply advanced troubleshooting skills for complex, business-critical database and infrastructure issues
- Demonstrate strong customer-facing communication and presentation skills in English and Arabic
- Demonstrate ability to work autonomously as a senior individual contributor with minimal management guidance
