Job description
Jebel Ali School, part of the Taaleem group in Dubai, needs an Arabic B teacher to cover a maternity leave starting in November 2026. Arabic B classes serve students learning Arabic as an additional language, so lessons have to build confidence as much as accuracy. Planning starts with each student's needs, learning style and prior knowledge, then turns into schemes of work, homework and activities that consolidate what has been taught. Assessment is ongoing, combining formative and summative methods with regular feedback and target setting. UAE heritage and culture are embedded in the curriculum, and that responsibility sits with you. Parents expect regular, professional updates on progress, handled with full confidentiality. Behaviour management, safeguarding and child protection follow school policy at all times, and every appointment depends on background and police checks. After-school activities, department meetings and occasional evening or weekend community events are part of the role too. A recognised teaching qualification or licence, at least 2 years in a recognised school and experience with DSIB, OFSTED or a similar inspection body are wanted.
