Job description
CAFU, a leading on-demand vehicle services platform based in Dubai, is seeking a Product Design Lead to take charge of the end-to-end design experience across its digital ecosystem. This player-coach role involves hands-on product design leadership across mobile, web, and internal tools. The successful candidate will shape the user experience across logistics platforms, internal systems, and customer-facing applications, working closely with product and engineering teams. The role demands a strategic thinker with strong execution skills, a passion for UI/UX, and a deep understanding of brand expression through design. Required skills
Key responsibilities
- Own end-to-end product design for all CAFU surfaces: B2C apps, Pilot tools, B2B portals, and live operations dashboards.
- Collaborate with PMs and engineers in cross-functional squads to deliver elegant, high-performing UX for both consumer and internal use cases.
- Drive user-centric design in complex domainsâlogistics systems, agentic workflows, localization, and integrations with third-party platforms.
- Lead and grow a player-coach design team, managing both in-house and outsourced designers.
- Shape and run design sprintsâfrom research and discovery through prototyping, validation, and production handoff.
- Foster a culture of feedback, critique, and experimentation across product and design.
- Maintain and evolve CAFUâs design system in close partnership with engineering.
- Ensure brand cohesion and accessibility across platforms and partners, including co-branded integrations and campaigns.
- Explore ways to evolve visual identity to reflect product maturity, speed, and sophistication.
Experience & skills
- 7+ years of experience in product design, with at least 2+ years in a design leadership or player-coach role.
- Proven ability to own design across consumer, internal, and operational platforms.
- Strong foundation in both UI aesthetics and UX architectureâyou balance polish with performance.
- Experience working in a fast-paced product environment with tightly coupled design-engineering collaboration.
- Proficiency in Figma, user testing tools, and structured research-to-delivery workflows.
- Exceptional communication skillsâyou can influence decisions and unify product, engineering, and brand around a single experience vision.
- Experience in mobility, logistics, delivery, or platform-based ecosystems (desirable).
- Experience localizing products for multiple countries/languages (desirable).
- Experience leading or building multi-surface design systems (e.g., mobile + web + internal) (desirable).
