Job description
The Fraud Analyst (Transaction Monitoring & Financial Crime) role at Edenred UAE, a leading digital platform for corporate services specializing in employee benefits, professional mobility solutions, and B2B payments, operates within a high-volume, regulated financial ecosystem supporting more than 15,000 businesses, over 2.2 million unbanked employees, more than 10 banks, and 35 financial institutions. The role is embedded in the Compliance function and is responsible for safeguarding financial systems through robust transaction monitoring and fraud risk detection practices across mobile applications, online platforms, and card-based payment infrastructures. The position requires continuous daily monitoring of transactions using transaction monitoring and case management systems to detect suspicious, anomalous, or potentially fraudulent behavior patterns. The analyst is responsible for reviewing and triaging system-generated alerts, conducting early-stage investigations, validating alerts against defined SOPs and risk thresholds, and performing false positive clearance with strong analytical rigor. The role includes identifying behavioral risks and fraud typologies such as card/payment fraud, application fraud, identity abuse, social engineering fraud, and internal fraud within a financial crime framework. The position supports end-to-end fraud investigations including transactional analysis, document verification, and open-source intelligence checks, ensuring all findings are documented thoroughly to support Risk-Based Investigation (RBI) notes prepared by senior stakeholders. The analyst is responsible for preparing initial escalation forms with comprehensive narratives and evidence mapping, ensuring that all escalations align with internal escalation matrices and governance protocols. The role requires strict adherence to UAE regulatory compliance requirements, internal policies, and fraud governance frameworks, while maintaining audit-ready case files to support Compliance and MLRO (Money Laundering Reporting Officer) functions. The analyst must maintain detailed case registers, investigation logs, and evidence repositories to ensure traceability, audit readiness, and regulatory transparency. The role heavily utilizes Microsoft Excel for advanced data analysis, including pivot tables, lookups, and reporting, to identify trends, anomalies, and patterns across transaction datasets. The position also contributes to continuous improvement initiatives by enhancing monitoring effectiveness, improving alert quality, and strengthening fraud detection mechanisms. The role operates within a structured reporting line to the Team Lead – Fraud & Risk or Fraud & Risk Manager and requires collaboration within a broader compliance and financial crime risk management framework. Preferred certifications such as Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS), ICA certifications, CAMI, and experience with goAML systems further enhance the candidate’s ability to operate within a regulated financial services environment.
