Job description
RMJM is seeking to appoint a Landscape Engineer to support the continued growth of our Dubai Studio. The role involves supervising and coordinating landscaping construction activities to ensure compliance with contract documents, monitoring contractor performance, managing construction schedules, ensuring safety compliance, and participating in project handover and close-out activities.

Key responsibilities
- Direct, supervise, and coordinate landscaping construction activities to ensure alignment with contract documents.
- Monitor construction progress and review contractor’s reports; inform PM and client of delays.
- Manage the change procedure and issue authorized instructions to contractors.
- Propose solutions to construction and design issues.
- Provide claims analysis support and participate in dispute resolution.
- Engage in contract close-out activities.
- Coordinate with stakeholders on all construction issues.
- Chair progress meetings with the contractor and report issues as necessary.
- Monitor contractor’s performance and report on status and progress.
- Review contractor’s progress reports, material submittals, method statements, and samples for compliance.
- Assess site progress and prepare reports for the client.
- Manage and monitor as-built records.
- Provide final work approvals and manage handover and contract close-out.
- Ensure project safety goals are achieved and the Project Safety Plan is implemented.
- Verify information in contractor’s daily reports, including resources used.
- Coordinate all matters between contractors and relevant authorities.
- Perform additional responsibilities as appropriate to the role.
Experience & skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture, Landscape Engineering, or related discipline.
- Minimum 10 years of total work experience, with at least 5 years of on-site experience.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
