Job description
The Vice President of Corporate Development for Eastern Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EEMEA), based in Dubai, reports to the SVP, Global Head of Corporate Development. This role is responsible for identifying, developing, and executing strategic inorganic opportunities, including equity investments, acquisitions, and joint ventures. The VP must understand payments and fintech industry dynamics, synthesize insights, identify competitive trends, and foster cross-functional collaboration to support successful execution. The role requires market engagement, investment rationale development, deal execution, and selective leadership of global initiatives.

Key responsibilities
- Develop the EEMEA Corporate Development pipeline with regional leadership
- Work with division and in-country leadership teams to create Target Investment Profiles
- Partner with global units to assess strategies better executed via investments or acquisitions
- Generate investment rationales and geographic/product strategy matrices
- Engage with PE/VC investors, investment banks, and market players to ensure visibility
- Convert inorganic growth objectives into target investment profiles and source candidates
- Build investment business cases with strategic and financial analysis
- Pursue and structure transactions including negotiating term sheets and LOIs
- Develop valuations, synergy, accretion/dilution analyses, and lead deal approval presentations
- Lead joint ventures, equity investments, and acquisitions across EEMEA
- Support global corporate development initiatives beyond EEMEA selectively
- Coordinate cross-functionally to advance investment or acquisition opportunities
- Lead or support deal execution stages including due diligence and documentation
Experience & skills
- Relevant industry knowledge and appetite for fintech and payments trends
- Demonstrated success in corporate development or strategy leadership roles
- Fintech/Payments experience preferred
- Corporate Development and Investment Banking experience highly desirable
- Bachelorās degree required; MBA or postgraduate strongly preferred
- Experience in global/international roles with multicultural sensibility
- Strong relationship management and negotiation skills
- Strong project management and stakeholder coordination skills
- Proven commitment to managing mission-critical global processes
- Ability to link data analysis with business implications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Previous experience developing Board-level materials desirable
- Sound judgment with ability to identify and escalate emerging issues
