Job description
Serco is seeking Facility Management Consultants to join its talent pool for upcoming opportunities in the UAE. The role will support major national and international initiatives by developing and implementing facility management best practices, procedures, and standards across hard and soft services. Consultants will work closely with clients to optimize O&M practices, enhance community services, and establish FM strategies in line with global standards. This position involves reviewing contracts, preparing tendering documentation, and driving continuous improvement across all aspects of facility management, health and safety, and environmental compliance.
Required skills
Key responsibilities
- Lead the development, global best practice benchmarking and production of facility management procedures, standards, scope of works, and specifications for hard and soft services
- Engage and maintain close working relationships with the client to optimize O&M best practices
- Support implementation of O&M elements such as post maintenance testing, system-engineering programmes, equipment/tool control, and configuration management
- Develop standardized grounds, landscaping, seasonal planning, and customer service templates
- Support emergency management processes including preparedness, drills, and action plans
- Develop processes for space, energy, and cleaning management
- Oversee procurement processes for goods and services in support of O&M
- Develop, review, and amend procedures and processes for health and safety, environmental, waste management, quality assurance, and continuous improvement
- Establish detailed SoW and specifications for community services aligned with international best practices
- Review, consolidate, and optimize SoW of community services contracts with international standards and the local market
- Provide tendering documents specific to client facilities including FM strategy, design, and operating procedures
Experience & skills
- 12-15 years of experience in facilities management or related fields on major national/international initiatives
- Expertise in development and implementation of best practice standards and processes
- Proven track record in continuous improvement and change management
- Previous consulting or advisory experience preferred
- Extensive international experience with preference for Middle East/UAE
