Job description
Senior Data Scientist at Al Futtaim Private Company LLC responsible for developing and managing predictive and forecasting models that optimize financial risk management and competitiveness across UAE and international markets. The role involves end-to-end model lifecycle management including experimentation, deployment using MLFlow, model calibration, and post-modeling adjustments (PMA) to optimize performance. The position requires developing predictive and analytical models such as RV, Equity Mining, SMR, conducting statistical and quantitative analyses to identify potential risks, preparing risk recommendations, designing risk measures and methodologies, defining trade cycle strategies, quantifying features in time-to-fail and mileage-to-fail, building relationships with key stakeholders including IT, Finance, Remarketing, and Sales, coordinating implementation of data-driven actions, and mentoring junior data scientists and analysts. The role also requires monitoring and reporting regional and international asset risk exposures, calculating RV provisions, identifying hand-backs and feature impacts, performing data storytelling through presentations and visualizations, and maintaining operational plans and project-level planning. Proficiency in Python, R, SQL, ML frameworks, and data visualization tools is essential, as well as a strong foundation in statistics, quantitative problem solving, and experience in financial services, preferably automotive or captive finance.
