Job description
Lean is seeking a Strategic Finance Analyst / FP&A to elevate financial planning and analysis capabilities while scaling across multiple markets and product lines within a fast-growing fintech and Open Finance infrastructure environment. The role is focused on delivering robust revenue forecasting, budgeting, and analytical support to enable faster, data-driven decision-making across the business. Operating in a highly hands-on and analytical capacity, the Strategic Finance Analyst will leverage strong financial modelling and FP&A fundamentals with a commercial mindset to support a high-growth organization that has tripled in size over the past twelve months and is expanding across MENA as a multi-product infrastructure company powering payments, data, and lending. The position supports monthly rolling forecast processes and financial planning models, including scenario analysis, and partners with cross-functional stakeholders to define and validate driver-based assumptions aligned with business performance and outlook. Responsibilities include synthesizing forecast outputs into executive-ready insights, contributing to the annual budgeting process through coordination and consolidation of business unit inputs, producing variance analysis versus budget with clear explanations of key movements and cost drivers, identifying cost optimisation opportunities, and supporting FP&A automation initiatives including AI-enabled tooling and budgeting and forecasting systems. The role also delivers management reporting and decision-support analysis for senior leadership, tracks business and sales performance, performs quantitative analysis of operational and financial data such as unit economics, marketing performance, and profitability analysis, leads and supports market research initiatives, develops and refines pricing models, maintains a commercial deals tracker to support revenue forecasting and deal approval processes, and drives continuous improvement in FP&A processes, reporting, and analytical frameworks within a SaaS and fintech context.
Required skills
Key responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and continuously enhance revenue forecasting capabilities by supporting the monthly rolling forecast, refining financial planning models, conducting detailed scenario analysis, validating driver-based assumptions with cross-functional stakeholders, and translating complex forecast outputs into clear, executive-ready insights and actionable recommendations to enable data-driven decision-making.
- Lead and coordinate the annual budgeting process by consolidating inputs from multiple business units, preparing comprehensive budget materials, aligning assumptions with strategic objectives, performing in-depth variance analysis versus budget, explaining key financial movements and underlying cost and revenue drivers, and identifying cost optimisation opportunities with quantified financial impact.
- Deliver comprehensive management reporting and decision-support analysis for senior leadership by tracking business and sales performance, identifying risks and opportunities, recommending corrective actions, performing quantitative analysis of operational and financial data including unit economics analysis, marketing performance analysis and profitability analysis, and ensuring alignment between financial performance and strategic priorities.
- Develop, refine, and maintain pricing models to support commercial decision-making and profitability optimization, maintain a commercial deals tracker to support revenue forecasting, deal reviews, and approval processes, and provide analytical support for strategic finance, pricing, and commercial initiatives across multiple markets and product lines.
- Support the rollout and adoption of FP&A automation initiatives by contributing to the implementation of AI-enabled tooling and budgeting and forecasting systems, and drive continuous improvement in FP&A processes, reporting methodologies, and analytical frameworks to enhance efficiency, scalability, and accuracy in a high-growth SaaS and fintech environment.
Experience & skills
- Demonstrate 3+ years of hands-on experience in financial modelling and financial planning and analysis (FP&A) roles, with strong foundations in revenue forecasting, budgeting, scenario analysis, variance analysis, and management reporting within dynamic business environments.
- Possess Corporate Finance experience as an advantage, with the ability to apply structured financial analysis techniques to support strategic decision-making, commercial evaluations, and cross-functional business initiatives.
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field, providing a solid theoretical and practical grounding in financial analysis, financial planning models, and performance management concepts.
- Show experience working in a SaaS or fintech environment, with exposure to subscription or transaction-based revenue models, multi-product offerings, and scaling operations across multiple markets in a high-growth or high-change business environment.
- Exhibit strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex operational and financial data, perform unit economics analysis, marketing performance analysis and profitability analysis, and simplify complex information into clear, concise insights tailored for senior stakeholders.
- Demonstrate the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders, manage inputs from business units during forecasting and budgeting cycles, support pricing models and commercial deals analysis, and contribute to the continuous improvement of FP&A processes, reporting standards, and analytical frameworks.
