Job description
The Vice President – Private Banker (Asset & Wealth Management) at J.P. Morgan in Dubai is responsible for driving client acquisition and retention within the UAE Private Banking market, focusing on high-net-worth (HNW) and ultra-high-net-worth (UHNW) individuals and families. The role requires comprehensive expertise in wealth management, banking, and trust services, including structured and managed portfolios, brokerage accounts, deposit and loan solutions, and basic trust and estate products. The position involves leading client engagements, leveraging interdisciplinary expertise from specialists such as Investor, Capital, Trust, Estate, and Wealth Advisors, and ensuring adherence to J.P. Morgan Risk Management policies. The Private Banker manages client accounts end-to-end, ensures complete and accurate profiles, and aligns products and services to clients’ financial goals and objectives. The role demands active business development, including prospecting, profiling, and executing sales, as well as providing a first-class client experience across local and international networks. This position also requires staying current with regulatory and technological changes and applying a strong understanding of wealth planning opportunities to optimize portfolio growth and client satisfaction.

Key responsibilities
- Prospect and acquire new clients within the UAE Private Banking segment, aligning with the bank’s qualifying criteria
- Sell and implement investment, banking, and trust/estate products to core clients as appropriate
- Leverage specialists (Investor, Capital Advisor, Trust and Estate Advisor, Wealth Advisor) to provide comprehensive solutions for complex client needs
- Manage client accounts to ensure complete profiles, proper maintenance, and compliance with J.P. Morgan Risk Management policies
- Build and maintain long-term client relationships to ensure engagement and satisfaction
- Align proposed products and services to clients' needs, goals, and objectives
- Monitor market trends and competitor offerings to maintain competitive wealth and banking solutions
Experience & skills
- Significant experience in Private Banking working with HNW and UHNW individuals and families
- Proven business development and client acquisition experience
- Demonstrated sales success including prospecting, profiling, objection handling, negotiation, team selling, closing, and referrals
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong relationship management and team collaboration abilities
- Understanding of investments, banking, and trust concepts including asset allocation, managed portfolios, brokerage accounts, deposit and loan solutions, and basic trust and estate products
- Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing business, regulatory, and technological environment
- Emirati male nationals must have completed or have no obligatory military service obligations
