Job description
The Senior Landscape Architect role in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia involves designing functional, sustainable, and visually appealing outdoor environments across highways, urban roads, and infrastructure developments within the Architecture & Planning sector. The position requires conducting comprehensive site analysis including terrain, soil, climate, and environmental impact assessment to inform landscaping strategies aligned with infrastructure requirements. The candidate will design landscaping plans for highways, medians, sidewalks, and adjoining green spaces while developing drainage systems, erosion control solutions, and planting schemes that integrate with civil engineering and infrastructure constraints. The role requires ensuring compliance with safety standards, urban planning guidelines, and environmental regulations while collaborating closely with civil engineers, architects, and contractors to integrate landscape elements into large-scale infrastructure projects. The Senior Landscape Architect will prepare detailed drawings, 3D models, and construction documentation using AutoCAD, GIS, SketchUp, Revit, and Adobe Creative Suite, ensuring accuracy and adherence to technical standards. The position also includes supervising onsite landscaping activities such as planting, paving, and installation of street furniture, monitoring project budgets, timelines, and quality standards, and preparing cost estimates. Additionally, the role involves selecting native and drought-resistant plant species to reduce maintenance costs, incorporating noise barriers, green buffers, and pedestrian-friendly zones, and enhancing the visual appeal of roads through greenery, lighting, and material selection. The position requires strong knowledge of urban design, horticulture, soil science, hydrology, sustainability practices, and extensive experience in infrastructure or road-related projects, while managing multidisciplinary collaboration and ensuring successful project delivery across complex infrastructure developments.
