Reporting to the Head of Production and working closely with the Film Director, Head of Documentary Department, Director of Photography (DOP), editors, and the broader production team, the role requires the ability to seamlessly transition between videography and video post-production tasks depending on production requirements. The position operates within a fast-paced media production environment and plays a critical role in delivering visually compelling content aligned with Wasl Channelās storytelling standards and Arabic content requirements. The role includes shooting video content for short documentaries, field reports, social media video productions, and high-production audiovisual projects while executing filming tasks based on defined creative and technical direction. Responsibilities include ensuring professional framing, video composition, and visual consistency during filming and working efficiently on location under tight production schedules. In post-production, the role involves editing documentary films, long-form video content, short-form content, and social media videos by building structured edits from raw footage or predefined story structures while ensuring proper pacing, narrative clarity, and logical visual flow. The Senior Videographer & Editor supports storytelling through scene selection, visual rhythm design, and narrative sequencing, collaborating with directors and editors to enhance overall narrative quality. The position requires advanced proficiency with professional video editing software including Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, and Final Cut Pro, as well as the ability to perform color correction and audio cleanup during post-production workflows. Additional responsibilities include preparing final deliverables for publishing, producing content in multiple aspect ratios depending on distribution platforms, and ensuring technical quality standards are maintained across all outputs.
