The Building Segment Sales Lead β Projects role within ABB Electrification focuses on leading and executing the Building Segment sales strategy in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, reporting to the Local Sales Manager EL SP/SB. The position is responsible for achieving annual sales targets and ensuring consistent year-on-year growth aligned with strategic objectives across the building segment portfolio, which includes medium- and low-voltage electrical components, switchgear, digital devices, enclosures, circuit breakers, and related electrification technologies. The role requires leading the national Building Segment sales team, managing performance, conducting regular reviews, identifying training needs, and driving professional development while ensuring execution of sales plans. It also involves developing and strengthening local channel partners and panel builders across the Kingdom, enhancing their technical capabilities, competitiveness, and alignment with ABB programs. The candidate is responsible for maintaining and expanding the customer base, including EPCs, consultants, and strategic end users, while building long-term relationships to generate sustained opportunity pipelines. Additional responsibilities include accurate sales forecasting and pipeline management using Sales Force, ensuring revenue visibility, identifying risks in pipeline health, and taking corrective actions to meet targets. The role demands strong technical expertise in ABB low-voltage switchgear solutions and the ability to translate technical capabilities into commercial value propositions. The position also requires strategic leadership in developing segment strategy, aligning with market trends, customer requirements, and long-term business objectives while ensuring operational excellence in B2B project sales environments. The role is heavily focused on leadership, sales execution, and partner ecosystem development within the electrification and building segment industry.
Required skills
Key responsibilities
- Achieve assigned annual sales targets for the Building Segment and ensure consistent year-on-year growth aligned with strategic objectives
- Lead and execute the Building Segment sales strategy in alignment with market trends, customer needs, and long-term business goals
- Lead, manage, and develop the Building Segment sales team across the country to ensure performance and target achievement
- Set team objectives, conduct performance reviews, identify training needs, and support professional development
- Develop and strengthen local channel partners and panel builders across the Kingdom using ABB tools and programs
- Maintain, develop, and expand customer relationships with EPCs, consultants, and strategic end users
- Manage accurate sales forecasting and pipeline tracking using Sales Force
- Monitor pipeline health and implement corrective actions to meet revenue targets
Experience & skills
- Bachelorβs degree in Electrical Engineering
- Minimum 10+ years of B2B project sales experience
- At least 5 years of experience in electrical switchgear solutions
- Proven leadership experience managing sales teams
- Strong communication, coaching, and interpersonal skills
- Strong technical knowledge of ABB low-voltage switchgear solutions and components
- Experience working with EPCs, consultants, and end users in the building segment
- Experience in pipeline management and sales forecasting
