Job description
Oracle is hiring a DBP Account Cloud Engineer in Dubai to work with strategic enterprise clients on their digital transformation journey. As part of Oracle's field technology engineering team, the role combines technical fluency with client engagement, solution architecture, and cloud advisory. The engineer will design and implement Oracle IaaS and PaaS cloud solutions, deliver value-based proposals, and act as a trusted advisor throughout the cloud lifecycle. This position plays a critical role in enabling customer success, collaborating across Oracle teams, and staying at the forefront of AI, cloud security, and enterprise-scale digital solutions.

Key responsibilities
- Drive customer success by acting as a trusted advisor, building strong relationships, and ensuring customer satisfaction and retention
- Collaborate with the sales team to understand customer requirements and across Oracleās cloud teams to ensure our solutions align with customer needs
- Create and deliver technical proposals, presentations, and solution documentation
- Define comprehensive, consistent and effective cloud solutions leveraging the Oracle IaaS and PaaS portfolio
- Design and deliver enterprise cloud architectures that articulate business value through vision, capability models, assessments, and technical architecture
- Orchestrate and lead cross-functional Oracle teams to help customers design, adopt, and govern enterprise cloud architecture on Database Platforms and OCI
- Engage with strategic customers and build leadership relationships at multiple levels
- Gather requirements, develop architectures, and translate business needs into solutions
- Implement solutions and ensure successful deployments through code development and scripting
- Support customer from Proof of Concept (POC) through production deployment of services
- Create and distribute technical assets such as white papers, solution code, blog posts, and video demonstrations
- Serve as a leading contributor for customers and sales on technical cloud solutions
- Identify gaps and enhancements to influence engineering roadmaps
- Maintain expertise by staying current on emerging technologies
Experience & skills
- 6 to 10+ years of experience in technology and industry
- Strong communication skills with ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Customer-centric approach with strategic problem-solving skills
- Deep understanding of cloud technologies including IaaS, PaaS, and AI
- Hands-on experience as an Oracle Database Administrator
- Expertise in Oracle Database options, MAA, Enterprise Manager, and Oracle Engineered Systems
- Oracle database professional certification is a plus
- Relevant hyperscaler cloud certifications preferred
- Familiarity with cloud implementation and adoption cycles
- Experience with open source, cloud native, and Oracle technologies
- Degree level education in computer science, information systems, or a related field
