Job description
The Senior Commercial Associate role at instashop is part of the commercial function in the United Arab Emirates and focuses on driving growth within the Bakeries and Specialty segment. Instashop, headquartered in Dubai, is a leading online local marketplace in the UAE and Egypt and has been part of the Delivery Hero family since 2020, operating in online food delivery and q-commerce. The role plays a critical part in building and managing a network of affiliate partners, expanding market reach into new regions, and ensuring competitiveness of the instashop marketplace. Responsibilities include strategic market analysis, acquiring new partner shops, negotiating profitable affiliate contracts, overseeing partner onboarding, and managing end-to-end account relationships. The position involves identifying gaps in marketplace assortment, developing actionable plans to diversify offerings, strengthening long-term partnerships with shop management, monitoring operational metrics, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize performance. The Senior Commercial Associate also drives promotional campaigns across the shop portfolio, identifies growth opportunities in commission and non-commission revenue streams, analyzes market trends and competitor activities, and utilizes instashop services to gather feedback and enhance customer experience and service offerings across the platform.

Key responsibilities
- Support Commercial Managers in expanding and managing a regional network of partner shops and key accounts
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive database of target shops and key contacts to maximize outreach and partnership opportunities
- Identify, negotiate, and finalize profitable contracts with new affiliate shops while overseeing onboarding and cross-functional coordination
- Identify gaps in the marketplace assortment and create actionable plans with defined timelines to ensure a competitive and diverse offering of brands
- Drive initiatives to strengthen relationships with shop management and ensure long-term, productive partnerships
- Monitor operational metrics, generate actionable insights, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize performance
- Own the end-to-end account management process including reporting and structured communication with line management
- Identify growth opportunities in both top-line and non-commission revenue streams
- Analyze market trends and competitor activities to inform strategy adjustments
- Drive the implementation of promotional campaigns and initiatives across the shop portfolio
- Utilize instashop services and provide constructive feedback to improve customer experience and service offerings
Experience & skills
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field
- Possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in business development, sales, or a similar commercial role
- Demonstrate strong commercial awareness with excellent analytical skills
- Be proficient in MS Office applications
- Have experience using CRM tools and managing sales pipelines
- Demonstrate fluent written and verbal communication skills
