Job description
The Senior Client Relationship Manager at Lockton is responsible for developing, managing, preserving, and enhancing client relationships while ensuring exemplary service delivery. The role focuses on corporate account handling, building relationships with decision-makers, acting as the main point of escalation, and executing renewal strategies alongside the EB Director and/or Head of CRM. The position involves understanding client benefit requirements, advising on insurer services, coverage, and pricing, and delivering day-to-day servicing of clientsâ insurance programs to support retention and business growth. Responsibilities include identifying risk exposures, providing insurance and risk management solutions, ensuring compliance, maintaining client records, monitoring cash collection and resolving debtor queries, executing Lockton value propositions such as claims review and wellness initiatives, supporting consulting projects, cross-selling opportunities, training new team members, and contributing to development of new systems. The role requires strong knowledge of general insurance, risk management concepts, insurer rating methods, and the ability to prepare accurate broking presentations, with a focus on adding value, exceeding client expectations, and promoting financial success.

Key responsibilities
- Develop, manage, preserve, and enhance client relationships to ensure exemplary service and contribute to revenue goals
- Handle corporate accounts as assigned by EB Director and/or Head of CRM
- Build relationships with clients at various decision-making levels and act as the main point of escalation
- Develop and execute renewal strategies in coordination with EB Director and/or Head of CRM
- Understand client benefit requirements and provide advice on insurer services, coverage, and pricing
- Provision day-to-day servicing of client insurance programs to support retention and business expansion
- Ensure renewal timelines are met and market reviews are undertaken in advance of renewal
- Identify risk exposures and advise on insurance and risk management solutions in consultation with Head of CRM and/or EB Director
- Ensure compliance requirements are met and maintain accurate Lockton client records
- Monitor cash collection terms, resolve debtor queries, and ensure prompt payment of premiums and fees
- Review cases under threat or perceived vulnerability, implement and monitor action plans
- Execute Lockton value propositions including claims review, inductions, and wellness programs
- Support consulting projects, development of new lines of business, and explore cross-selling opportunities
- Support colleagues and assist Head of CRM in training new team members and system development initiatives
Experience & skills
- Proven ability to manage internal and external client relationships and exceed client expectations
- Knowledge of Lockton resources and relevant insurance classes
- Ability to identify business development opportunities
- Understanding of Lockton cash collection processes, general insurance accounting, and client invoicing
- Understanding of general legal principles of insurance and insurer rating methods
- Understanding of risk management concepts and their application for clients
- Ability to prepare broking presentations that accurately reflect required cover and client needs
- Commitment to personal and associate development through training, workshops, and courses
- Ability to maintain specialised knowledge to provide maximum client value
- Awareness of compliance with legal and regulatory requirements via adherence to Lockton policies and procedures
