The EY Parthenon Strategy Manager/Senior Manager – Energy and Industrials role is based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, with flexibility to work anywhere in the country, and offers a competitive salary. The position sits within EY-Parthenon, combining deep sector expertise, strong analytical capabilities, and close client relationships to deliver high-impact strategic engagements across the MENA region. The role focuses specifically on the Oil & Gas, Power & Utilities, and Sustainability sectors, requiring seasoned strategy professionals with at least 8+ years of experience in strategy consulting or related fields. The Manager/Senior Manager leads the delivery of strategic consulting engagements, defines project objectives in collaboration with senior leadership, and ensures execution aligns with EY-Parthenon’s rigorous standards. Responsibilities include working directly with clients to address complex strategic challenges, translating client needs into actionable insights and high-impact deliverables, and leveraging sector expertise to navigate industry-specific dynamics. The role requires experience in big-picture strategy projects, including energy-transition programs, decarbonization roadmaps, industrial competitiveness, sustainability initiatives, and growth strategy. The position involves conducting detailed assessments of industries, products, markets, competitors, and customers to identify risks and opportunities, applying data-driven insights and utilizing data analytics tools to inform decision-making. The Manager/Senior Manager manages project teams, maintains strong client relationships, ensures quality and timeliness of deliverables, proactively identifies risks, and escalates issues appropriately. The role also contributes to mentoring junior team members and fostering a culture of excellence. Candidates must possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, project management expertise, and exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills. Willingness and ability to travel within the MENA region approximately 25–70% of the time is required. Key responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of high-impact strategic consulting engagements in Oil & Gas, Power & Utilities, and Sustainability sectors, defining project objectives in collaboration with senior leadership and ensuring that execution aligns with EY-Parthenon’s quality standards, client expectations, and industry best practices
- Work directly with senior client stakeholders to understand their strategic objectives, identify underlying business challenges, and translate complex issues into actionable recommendations that deliver measurable business impact, including energy-transition initiatives, decarbonization roadmaps, sustainability strategies, and growth plans
- Conduct extensive market, industry, and competitive analyses, synthesize data from multiple sources, generate data-driven insights, and apply advanced analytics tools to inform strategic decision-making and assess risks and opportunities across diverse Energy and Industrials sectors
- Manage multi-disciplinary project teams, overseeing workload distribution, performance, and development of team members, while mentoring junior consultants to enhance their strategic thinking, problem-solving skills, and client engagement capabilities
- Develop and deliver high-quality client deliverables including detailed presentations, strategic frameworks, financial models, and comprehensive reports, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and actionable recommendations tailored to client needs
- Proactively identify potential risks, anticipate challenges in project delivery, escalate issues appropriately, and implement mitigation strategies to maintain project timelines and quality standards
- Maintain strong client relationships, serve as a trusted advisor, and provide insights on industry trends, strategic opportunities, and operational improvements to help clients achieve sustainable growth and long-term competitive advantage
- Contribute to the development of firm intellectual capital, share knowledge across the MENA team, and promote a culture of excellence, innovation, and collaboration in alignment with EY-Parthenon values
- Support business development efforts by identifying opportunities for new engagements, preparing proposals, and participating in client meetings to expand EY-Parthenon’s presence within the Energy and Industrials sectors
- Ensure readiness and adaptability to travel extensively within the MENA region (25–70% of time), work in diverse client environments, and address challenges in complex operational contexts while maintaining professional integrity and client-focused solutions
Experience & skills
- Minimum of 8+ years of strategy consulting or related experience with demonstrated success in delivering strategic projects within the Energy and Industrials sectors, including Oil & Gas, Power & Utilities, and Sustainability
- Proven experience in managing large-scale strategy engagements, leading multi-disciplinary teams, mentoring junior staff, and ensuring quality and timeliness of project deliverables in a top-tier consulting environment
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data-driven decision-making capabilities, including experience conducting market assessments, industry analyses, competitor and customer evaluations, and translating findings into actionable business insights
- Excellent project management skills, including planning, resource allocation, risk assessment, and stakeholder management, with ability to manage multiple complex projects concurrently and adapt to dynamic client needs
- Bachelor’s degree from a top-ranking institution with outstanding academic performance; MBA or other advanced degrees preferred, with strong academic and professional credentials supporting strategy consulting expertise
- Proficiency in using advanced analytics, data visualization, and digital tools to support strategy development and decision-making, and understanding of how AI and advanced technology can enhance client solutions
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with ability to influence senior stakeholders, present complex ideas clearly, and foster trust-based relationships with clients and internal teams
- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work collaboratively in diverse teams, promote knowledge sharing, and cultivate a culture of mentorship, innovation, and inclusion within EY-Parthenon
