Job description

In this role you will support the preparation of annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and long-term financial plans for a well-established business in the consumer goods sector. You will analyse financial performance by reviewing budgets, forecasts, and actual results to identify trends and key business drivers, and you are responsible for preparing monthly and quarterly management reports, including performance commentary and KPI analysis. Your responsibilities include monitoring business performance against targets and providing insights to support decision-making, and working closely with operational and commercial teams to assess business performance and identify opportunities for improvement. You will conduct profitability analysis across products, channels, customers, and categories, and you are responsible for supporting pricing analysis and evaluating the financial impact of commercial initiatives. You will review cost structures and highlight opportunities to improve profitability and operational efficiency, and you are responsible for building and maintaining financial models to support strategic planning and business growth initiatives. In this role you will assist with investment appraisals, market assessments, and business case development, support cash flow forecasting and working capital management activities, and contribute to the enhancement of reporting processes and financial planning frameworks. You will develop and track key performance indicators to measure business performance, ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial information used in reporting and analysis, and provide ad hoc financial and commercial analysis to support senior management.
