Job description
The Lead Well Services Supervisor is the OQEP representative at standalone Hoist & Well Services units (Fracturing, Coiled Tubing Unit, Well Testing, Slickline). Responsible for the safe and efficient execution of all standalone well service activitiesâmeeting well objectives in time and costâwhile ensuring compliance with OQEP HSE policies, well integrity standards, data acquisition requirements, and operational procedures.

Key responsibilities
- Responsible for overall standalone Unit(s) HSE performance and lead these Unit(s) to achieve company annual HSE KPIs.
- Provide technical input during any HSE Emergency incident or Well control event arising from standalone activities.
- Implement and monitor Well Delivery annual HSSE plan to the relevant Standalone Unit(s) ensuring compliance with OOCEP HSSE requirements.
- Ensure all service contractors conduct their work in accordance with contractual requirements for service provision, quality and HSE, and establish a safety and quality culture at the well site.
- Monitor HSE performance and assure compliance through inductions, risk management, pre-job safety and safety forums at the well site.
- Close-out unit-based HSE actions from audits and incident investigations and participate in high potential incident investigations.
- Conduct commissioning process on new Frac, CTU, Well Testing & Slickline Unit(s) and assume Site Commander role under the Emergency Response Plan.
- Supervise and issue work instructions to all service contractors for daily standalone activities to ensure compliance with OOCEP programs.
- Conduct all well service activities per industry and OOCEP operational procedures and standards to meet the Well Delivery business plan.
- Ensure all standalone Unit(s) equipment is tested, maintained and operated within OOCEP/OEM requirements.
- Review standalone programs and apply lessons learned to future wells in coordination with the Senior Well Services Engineer.
- Complete all required operations reports in the Well Delivery reporting format, providing accurate Value-Of-Work-Done.
- Contribute to contractor performance reviews and ensure timely closure of resulting actions.
- Provide detailed post-well operational performance review reports including actual vs plan cost and time, NPT, issues, solutions and improvements.
- Liaise with Senior Well Services Engineer on operation optimization or remedial work and issue revised work instructions per change management requirements.
- Raise Management of Change requests for critical changes and deviations in completion and workover activities.
- Arrange materials and services in a timely manner to avoid operational disruption and manage site inventory protection.
- Review, confirm accuracy and sign off field tickets, highlighting comments and NPT records for head office review.
- Ensure contractual compliance on HSE and Operations aspects and report deviations to the Well Delivery office team.
- Mentor well site trainees and new well engineers and monitor their training and development progress.
Experience & skills
- Degree in engineering (Well Engineering, Mechanical) or related discipline.
- Excellent written, read, and spoken English; Arabic native desirable.
- 10+ years of experience in relevant position in the Oil & Gas subsurface field.
- Strong background in petroleum engineering or geology & geophysics.
- Hands-on experience at managerial level in Oil & Gas subsurface field operations.
- Experienced in resource control, contract management and general management.
- Computer literate with expertise in MS Office.
- Demonstrated multi-cultural sensitivity and interpersonal skills.
