Job description
The Accounting Specialist role in Dhahran is responsible for supporting financial accounting operations, budgeting, reporting, and compliance activities to ensure accurate financial management and strong internal controls. The position manages general ledger maintenance, reconciliations, accounts payable and receivable, cash flow monitoring, and financial reporting. The role also contributes to financial planning, budgeting, and performance analysis across business units. The Accounting Specialist works closely with internal stakeholders, auditors, and financial partners to ensure regulatory compliance and timely reporting. In addition, the role supports financial due diligence, valuation analysis, and investment-related financial activities including loan transactions and venture capital assessments. The position requires strong analytical skills, accounting knowledge, and attention to detail to manage financial operations in a fast-paced environment while supporting continuous process improvements.
Required skills
Key responsibilities
- Prepare annual budgets, quarterly financial reports, and ad-hoc financial analysis
- Maintain general ledger and ensure accurate financial transaction recording
- Perform monthly reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
- Manage accounts payable including invoice processing and payment verification
- Monitor accounts receivable and track ageing reports
- Support collection activities and follow-up on overdue accounts
- Monitor cash flow and bank balances
- Prepare bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
- Prepare financial statements and year-end reports
- Support external audit activities and documentation requirements
- Perform financial due diligence and valuation analysis
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and cost analysis
- Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulatory requirements
- Implement internal controls and process improvements
Experience & skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 5–10 years of accounting or finance experience
- Professional certification (SOCPA, CPA, ACCA, CMA, or CFA) preferred
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards
- Experience with accounting software and ERP systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work under tight deadlines
- Ability to work independently and in team environments
