Job description
Lead duPay’s AML and regulatory compliance efforts, supporting the MLRO and CCRO to ensure robust financial crime controls, regulatory adherence, and effective governance. Embed compliance across business operations, products, and partnerships, while promoting a strong compliance culture within the organization.
Required skills
AML/CFT, sanctions, fraud, and financial crime compliance

Knowledge of UAE payment regulations, SVF, RPSCS, and financial legislation
Key responsibilities
- Support MLRO in maintaining and enhancing AML/CFT, sanctions, fraud, and financial crime frameworks
- Oversee CDD, EDD, transaction monitoring, sanctions screening, and suspicious activity reporting
- Review, assess, and escalate high-risk financial crime matters; prepare internal/external reports
- Provide pragmatic, timely regulatory advice to the business on conduct risk, consumer protection, payments regulation, outsourcing, and other obligations
- Support regulatory change management from identification to implementation
- Develop, review, and maintain compliance and financial crime policies and procedures
- Prepare papers, risk assessments, and management information for governance forums and the Board
- Support regulatory submissions, attestations, and enquiries
- Design and oversee risk-based compliance monitoring and testing programmes
- Identify control gaps, track remediation, and oversee audit and regulatory findings resolution
- Contribute to enterprise-wide risk assessments, AML risk assessments, and thematic reviews
- Provide leadership, mentoring, and professional development for compliance team members
- Promote compliance culture and deliver training programs across roles and seniority levels
- Partner with product, technology, operations, and commercial teams to embed compliance requirements into new initiatives
- Monitor regulatory, fintech, and industry developments to maintain a current compliance framework
Experience & skills
- 6+ years of experience in compliance/legal roles within payments, fintech, or regulatory agencies
- Advanced knowledge of UAE financial regulation and fintech compliance (SVF, RPSCS)
- Proven experience in AML and regulatory program development, risk assessment, and mitigation
- Strong analytical, decision-making, and negotiation skills
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated leadership and team management capabilities
- Ability to adapt to evolving regulatory environments
