Job description

Assessment of purchase requests to ensure compliance with the terms and conditions of contracts or approved RFQ/RFP by in depth verification of BOQs, rates, discounts and in line with management approvals. Coordinate with Technology planning teams to identify their project requirements and transform these requirements into RFPs, RFQs etc., while ensuring that all the Technical requirements are comprehensively covered. Ensuring that the new projects are not overlapping the scope of any existing solutions that have been deployed in Etisalat infrastructure. Perform continuous market analysis for solutions roadmap updates along with introduction of new technologies, and coordinate with Technology end users for adoption of these technologies in line with network requirements and market trends. Monitors the work practices/procedures and recommends improvements to enhance productivity, efficiency and quality. Keeps abreast of new technologies, systems and developments in respect of assigned network/service/functionality. Participates and assists superiors in the preparation of procurement plans /budgets and other day-to-day matters. Reports and reviews with superiors' significant events, key/critical observations and concerns to operation of the section procedures/practices as applicable. Coordinates as required with other Engineering sections, contractors and consultants and follows up as and when required.
