Job description

The Principal Project Manager (High-Rise & Mixed-Use Developments) is responsible for end-to-end delivery of complex projects including high-rise, mixed-use, and luxury developments within a consultancy environment at Mott MacDonald. The role provides single-point accountability across the entire project lifecycle, integrating project management, design management, commercial management, and stakeholder leadership to ensure design excellence, programme certainty, cost control, risk management, and client satisfaction. Responsibilities include defining project scope, programme, budgets, risks, and governance frameworks, while ensuring compliance with QA/QC procedures and applicable codes and standards. The role involves leading and coordinating multi-disciplinary design teams, managing design review and technical assurance processes, and maintaining control of programme, cost, risk, and change management throughout project execution. The position requires managing commercial aspects such as fee utilisation, forecasting, and variation management, and building strong relationships with clients and stakeholders as a trusted advisor. The role also includes identifying and managing project, technical, and reputational risks, ensuring alignment with governance standards, and driving opportunities for improvement. The manager leads and mentors teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment, while ensuring compliance with consultancy best practices and delivering projects within the built environment sector across the Middle East region.
