Job description
The Engineer - Facilities Management Hard Services at Transguard Group is responsible for supporting the Facilities Manager in the operational management of hard services within the organizationās facilities in Dubai Airport Freezone (DAFZA). The role focuses on ensuring that all building systems, infrastructure, and assets are fully maintained, functional, and safe for use while complying with company policies, service-level agreements (SLAs), key performance indicators (KPIs), and safety regulations. This position involves supervising maintenance activities, coordinating with vendors and contractors, managing resources, monitoring service performance, and ensuring smooth delivery of facility management operations. The Engineer is also responsible for developing and maintaining client relationships, preparing operational and financial reports, and ensuring contract compliance. The position requires a strong technical background in mechanical, electrical, or mechatronic systems, proficiency with CAFM systems, and experience managing structured FM service contracts. Additional responsibilities include supporting energy management initiatives, integrating new technologies, and contributing to process improvement projects aimed at optimizing efficiency and cost savings.

Key responsibilities
- Assist and support the Facilities Manager in the day-to-day operational management of FM services to ensure facilities are fully functional and safe
- Monitor and manage service delivery in line with contractual SLAs and KPIs to avoid penalties and deductions
- Prepare monthly operational and financial reports to review performance and track contract compliance
- Coordinate with procurement teams to ensure material and service sourcing aligns with company policies and budgetary guidelines
- Manage vendor and contractor performance, ensuring adherence to scope, timelines, and safety standards
- Supervise and ensure staff training, induction, and compliance with operational and safety standards
- Conduct site inspections to evaluate service quality, resolve client issues, and ensure high standards of delivery
- Manage and implement energy management initiatives and sustainability improvements
- Identify and record continuous improvement opportunities in process efficiency or cost savings
- Support the planning and execution of ad-hoc maintenance and fit-out projects
- Ensure accurate invoicing and financial documentation in coordination with administrative and finance teams
- Develop and maintain effective client relationships, holding regular meetings to address concerns and review performance
- Ensure all operations comply with statutory, contractual, and safety regulations, including adherence to company HSE policies
- Implement and monitor the effective use of CAFM systems for tracking maintenance activities and resource allocation
- Organize and lead team meetings, daily briefings, and monthly staff sessions to align operational performance with goals
- Support the integration of new technology and tools into facility management operations, developing business cases and ROI models
Experience & skills
- Hold a bachelorās degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent discipline
- Possess 3ā5 years of experience in facilities management with structured service delivery contracts and measurable SLAs/KPIs
- Hold professional certifications such as IOSH, NEBOSH, or CFM (preferred)
- Demonstrate strong knowledge and hands-on experience with CAFM systems and implementation processes
- Possess a valid UAE driving license
- Exhibit proficiency in MS Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to produce detailed operational reports
- Ability to coordinate effectively with cross-functional teams, vendors, and clients
- Proven experience in managing maintenance, energy management, and project delivery within FM environments
- Strong understanding of procurement procedures, financial controls, and budget management
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and client service skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while ensuring compliance with HSE and quality standards
