Job description
The Relationship Officer – POS Loans role within First Abu Dhabi Bank operates under the Personal, Wealth & Business Banking division and focuses on driving sales performance for POS loan products through new-to-bank acquisition and expansion of the existing client base. The role is responsible for meeting and exceeding monthly and annual sales targets while ensuring strict compliance with KYC, compliance policies, and internal banking processes. The position requires conducting customer field visits, performing detailed case analysis, and providing complete and accurate customer information to support credit and onboarding decisions. The role emphasizes high-quality client onboarding, transparent product offering, avoidance of mis-selling, proactive customer issue resolution, and continuous participation in learning and development programs. The role also involves maintaining sales performance reports, identifying cross-sell opportunities across other business divisions, monitoring competitor offerings, and contributing suggestions to improve banking products and processes within a regulated financial services environment.

Key responsibilities
- Achieve and exceed monthly and annual sales and revenue targets for POS loan products.
- Drive market penetration through new-to-bank customer acquisition and engagement of existing clients.
- Conduct customer field visits, analyze cases, and submit complete and accurate customer information.
- Ensure thorough knowledge and correct application of banking products, policies, and processes to deliver high-quality client onboarding.
- Maintain strict adherence to KYC, compliance, and internal banking policies.
- Identify and execute cross-selling opportunities across other banking products and business divisions.
- Prepare and maintain daily sales performance reports for review by team leaders and management.
- Deliver transparent product offerings to prevent mis-selling and align solutions with customer requirements.
- Handle customer complaints, escalations, and redress cases to ensure timely resolution.
- Participate actively in assigned learning, development, and training programs.
- Monitor competitor offerings and provide improvement recommendations to management.
Experience & skills
- Possess mandatory experience in POS loans.
- Have 3 to 5 years of experience in banking or the financial services industry.
- Demonstrate strong negotiation and customer persuasion capabilities aligned to sales complexity.
- Show solid understanding of banking compliance, KYC, and onboarding processes.
- Demonstrate ability to identify and execute cross-selling opportunities.
- Hold a university degree, with MBA, PGDM, or sales-related certification considered preferable.
- Demonstrate ability to build and maintain effective professional relationships within a banking environment.
