Job description
The Finance Executive (Credit) at Jumeirah Jabal Omar Hotel will oversee credit control, debtor management, and financial reporting within the hotelās finance department. This role involves maintaining robust relationships with collection and credit reporting agencies, ensuring accurate debtor ageing, and managing account queries and disputes efficiently. The position requires monitoring guest ledger balances, enforcing hotel credit policies, and controlling outstanding account limits. Operating within a high-volume, luxury hospitality environment, the Finance Executive will support the overall financial health of the property by aligning credit processes with corporate financial standards and operational objectives. The role demands precision, analytical ability, and proficiency with major hospitality and financial systems such as Opera PMS, Oracle Finance, and SAP, alongside strong interpersonal and leadership capabilities to uphold Jumeirahās high service and governance standards
Required skills
Key responsibilities
- Manage relationships with collection agencies and credit reporting agencies to ensure effective credit control operations
- Oversee all account queries and disputes, maintaining accurate and current debtor ageing records
- Review the Guest Ledger High Balance report daily and report discrepancies for corrective action
- Administer hotel credit processes and policies across departments, ensuring compliance with Jumeirah Group standards
- Monitor and enforce credit limits for all outstanding accounts to maintain financial discipline
- Assist in monthly financial closing processes related to receivables and credit control
- Prepare reports and documentation to support management reviews and audits
- Contribute to continuous improvement of credit processes and debtor management efficiency
Experience & skills
- Minimum of 2 yearsā experience in credit and collections within a high-volume hospitality environment
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word) and experience with hospitality and finance systems such as Opera, Room Master, Protel, Visual One, Delphi, Sun Finance, Oracle Finance, and SAP
- Strong analytical skills with demonstrated ability to manage multiple credit accounts and resolve discrepancies
- Proven ability to develop and lead within a structured finance team
- Experience in luxury hospitality preferred
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure to meet reporting deadlines
