Jubail is a city built from the sand up, and Bechtel's SABCO has managed it for the Royal Commission since the mid-1970s, with the contract now extended for another five years across Jubail and Ras Al-Khair Industrial Cities. This Innovation Lead grows Bechtel's digital solutions and maturity across Engineering, Procurement, Project Controls, Construction and Commissioning on that program. Workshops with clients, partners and stakeholders produce innovation use-cases, roadmaps and plans. An innovation change control board, facilitated by you, decides what gets implemented and how it becomes standard practice. Tender documents, Work Orders, RFPs and specifications need contract language that makes adoption by local AE firms and contractors possible. Delivery teams are scored on their capability and capacity to upskill, with training plans built for new technologies. PowerBI or similar dashboards track use-case implementation across design and construction management workflows. Regular maturity assessments, lessons learned and a culture of raising ideas keep improvement going. Candidates bring 10 to 13 years on large AEC projects, including 5+ in innovation, digital automation or GIS/BIM/Reality Capture implementation, and a BSc in Engineering, Construction or Computer Science.
