Job description
Mechanical, electrical, plumbing and ELV systems on a landmark luxury development in Riyadh have to serve guests, operators and sustainability targets at once, and keeping that design on track is the focus of this Buro Happold position. Design development is managed across every project phase against the brief, programme and budget. Consultant submissions come to you for review on completeness, compliance, coordination and technical quality. Clashes and interface issues with architectural, structural, interior design and infrastructure teams are worked through jointly. Design risks, RFIs, change requests and technical issues are tracked to closure, and design gateway approvals need your support. Value engineering is part of the picture, with efficiency, maintainability and the luxury user experience all weighed together. Scopes, RFPs and technical evaluations for consultants and specialist suppliers also pass through this role. Leadership and stakeholders receive regular progress reports on deliverables and consultant performance. Proven MEP design management experience on major high-end developments is essential, with BIM coordination and Middle East experience preferred.
