The Senior Solution Architect - Energy (Saudi National) role within the Red Hat KSA Sales organization is a senior-level technical leadership position based in Riyadh, focused on delivering high-impact engagements across strategic Energy sector accounts. The role spans the full customer lifecycle, including early discovery, requirements analysis, solution design, technical validation, adoption, customer success, and long-term growth. The position leverages deep technical expertise, industry-specific knowledge of the Energy sector, and solution-selling capabilities to act as a trusted technical advisor to customers, guiding them through complex business and technology challenges using Red Hat’s enterprise open source portfolio. The role requires close coordination with cross-functional teams including Sales, Platform teams, Services, and Customer Success to ensure strategic alignment, effective execution, and measurable customer outcomes. Responsibilities include owning the technical win for opportunities, architecting scalable and innovative solutions across hybrid cloud, automation, virtualization, containerization, DevOps, and platform engineering domains, and demonstrating business value through technical presentations, proofs of concept, and demonstrations. The position also involves continuous customer engagement through regular check-ins, adoption support, issue resolution, and expansion identification, while acting as the voice of the customer by providing structured feedback on Red Hat products, features, and services. Success in this role depends on strong customer relationships, proactive engagement, the ability to navigate fast-paced environments, and alignment with Red Hat’s open source culture, collaboration principles, and customer-centric approach.

Key responsibilities
- Serve as the technical leader for assigned Energy sector customer accounts by building trusted relationships, understanding customer goals, challenges, and desired outcomes, and advising technical teams
- Act as the primary technical advisor to Sales by providing strategic input across all technical aspects of the sales process
- Collaborate with Sales to identify requirements, mitigate technical blockers, and align Red Hat solutions with customer business and technical needs
- Assist in developing proposals and responding to RFPs by contributing technical expertise and solution recommendations
- Design, architect, and present technical solutions that address customer challenges and align with defined business objectives
- Lead technical sales conversations and articulate how Red Hat’s portfolio meets organizational and technical requirements
- Demonstrate the business impact of Red Hat technologies through technical demonstrations, discussions, and proofs of concept
- Own the technical win for sales opportunities by coordinating appropriate resources, teams, and messaging to secure customer acceptance
- Provide ongoing technical guidance and post-sales support to drive solution adoption, resolve issues, and ensure customer success
- Conduct regular customer check-ins to assess satisfaction, identify expansion and upsell opportunities, and close solution gaps
- Act as the voice of the customer internally by providing actionable feedback on Red Hat products, features, and services
- Coordinate and lead cross-functional collaboration across Sales, Platform teams, Services, and Customer Success organizations
Experience & skills
- Demonstrate a strong technical background with hands-on experience in solution architecture, consultative selling, and full sales lifecycle management including pre-sales and post-sales
- Possess experience with Red Hat’s product portfolio and key technology domains including hybrid cloud, automation, virtualization, containerization, DevOps, and platform engineering
- Exhibit the ability to design and deliver enterprise-grade solutions using open source and cloud technologies
- Show proven experience in customer success, technical account planning, or related customer-facing technical roles
- Apply strong project management and prioritization capabilities across multiple customer accounts
- Maintain strong business acumen with an understanding of how technical engagements drive business outcomes
- Demonstrate willingness and ability to travel as required to support customer and business needs
