Job description
The Delivery Manager – Infrastructure & Cloud Platforms at Inception, a G42 company based in Abu Dhabi, is responsible for the end-to-end delivery of complex infrastructure programmes spanning cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments. The role oversees the delivery of resilient, secure, scalable, and production-ready platforms that support enterprise and AI workloads, ensuring full alignment with enterprise standards, regulatory requirements, and business objectives. The position involves managing infrastructure delivery across public cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCP, as well as private cloud and on-prem data centre environments, covering compute, storage, networking, security, and platform services. The Delivery Manager acts as the primary interface for stakeholders including IT leadership, security, architecture, and operations teams, while coordinating cross-functional internal teams and external vendors. The role includes governance of planning, risks, dependencies, issues, change control, release coordination, operational readiness, and service transition. The incumbent applies appropriate delivery methodologies including Agile, Hybrid, and Waterfall depending on programme complexity, monitors delivery performance metrics related to availability, stability, cost, and readiness, and drives continuous improvement of infrastructure delivery processes, tooling, and standards within high-availability and regulated environments.

Key responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end delivery of infrastructure, cloud, and hybrid platform programmes ensuring delivery on time, within scope, and within budget
- Lead and coordinate cross-functional delivery teams including infrastructure engineers, cloud specialists, network teams, security teams, platform engineers, and external vendors
- Manage delivery across on-prem infrastructure, private cloud, public cloud, and hybrid architectures
- Oversee delivery of data centre, compute, storage, network, security, and platform services supporting enterprise and AI workloads
- Translate technical and business requirements into structured delivery plans, milestones, and execution roadmaps
- Manage delivery governance including planning, dependencies, risks, issues, change control, and release coordination
- Ensure infrastructure solutions meet enterprise standards for availability, scalability, security, resilience, and performance
- Coordinate integrations across cloud platforms, on-prem environments, identity systems, monitoring tools, and enterprise services
- Act as the primary delivery interface for IT leadership, security, architecture, and operations stakeholders
- Drive proactive risk management and issue resolution in complex, regulated, and high-availability environments
- Ensure smooth transition of delivered infrastructure into operations including documentation, service readiness, and handover
- Apply Agile, Hybrid, or Waterfall delivery methodologies based on programme complexity
- Monitor delivery performance using metrics related to stability, availability, cost, and operational readiness
- Support continuous improvement of infrastructure delivery processes, tools, and standards
- Mentor and support delivery team members to foster accountability and execution discipline
Experience & skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience delivering infrastructure, cloud, or platform programmes in enterprise environments
- Strong understanding of AWS, Azure, GCP, and on-prem infrastructure including data centres, virtualisation, storage, and networking
- Experience delivering hybrid cloud and mission-critical platforms
- Familiarity with security, identity, networking, monitoring, and operational readiness concepts
- Proven experience managing vendors, systems integrators, and multi-supplier environments
- Proficiency in Jira, MS Project, Azure DevOps, and Confluence
- Ability to operate in complex, regulated, or high-availability environments
