Job description
The Open Finance Business Analyst for Virtusaâs Banking and Financial Services practice in Dubai supports global banking clients by defining, shaping, and delivering Open Banking and API-led transformation programs spanning digital channels, core banking integration, and regulatory compliance initiatives. The role requires 8â10 years of overall experience, including 4â5 years as a Business Analyst in Banking/Financial Services and 2â3 years focused on Open Banking or API programs (regulatory or platform-led). The analyst applies strong knowledge of Open Banking frameworksâUK OBIE, EU PSD2 and PSD3, regional MENA standards, Australia CDR, and Singapore SGFinDexâto define and manage API specifications, business rules, and integration requirements across payments, customer onboarding, accounts, and transaction data domains. Responsibilities include partnering with offshore delivery models and global stakeholders; leveraging API management platforms such as Apigee, MuleSoft, or WSO2; and utilizing API testing tools like Postman and Swagger to ensure robust, compliant solutions that align with regulatory obligations and enterprise architecture while enabling scalable, secure connectivity across digital channels and core banking systems.

- Define and drive Open Banking and API-led transformation programs across digital channels, core banking integration, and regulatory compliance initiatives
- Translate business objectives into detailed API specifications, business rules, and integration requirements covering payments, customer onboarding, accounts, and transaction data
- Align solutions to Open Banking frameworks (UK OBIE, EU PSD2/PSD3, MENA, Australia CDR, Singapore SGFinDex) and ensure regulatory compliance
- Collaborate with global client stakeholders and offshore delivery teams to plan, scope, and deliver platform and regulatory Open Banking/API workstreams
- Govern API lifecycle activities using API management platforms (Apigee, MuleSoft, WSO2) and ensure quality via API testing tools (Postman, Swagger)
- Produce comprehensive analysis, documentation, and acceptance criteria to enable consistent delivery and stakeholder sign-off
Experience & skills
- 8â10 years of total experience with 4â5 years as a Business Analyst in Banking/Financial Services and 2â3 years in Open Banking or API programs
- Demonstrated expertise in Open Banking frameworks including UK OBIE, EU PSD2/PSD3, MENA regional standards, Australia CDR, and Singapore SGFinDex
- Proven capability to define and manage API specifications, business rules, and integration requirements across key banking processes
- Solid understanding of payments, customer onboarding, accounts, and transaction data
- Hands-on familiarity with API management platforms (Apigee, MuleSoft, WSO2) and API testing tools (Postman, Swagger)
- Experience working with offshore delivery models and engaging global client stakeholders
