Job description
The Finance Manager at Foodics is responsible for overseeing financial operations, accounting, and financial reporting within a SAMA-regulated FinTech environment. The role ensures strong financial governance, accurate reporting, and compliance with regulatory, audit, and group finance requirements. Key functions include day-to-day accounting operations, general ledger maintenance, reconciliations, month-end close, preparation of financial statements in accordance with IFRS and group accounting policies, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis. The Finance Manager oversees aggregator accounts, ensuring proper segregation of company and merchant funds, timely reconciliations, and accurate reporting for regulatory review. The role supports Compliance in meeting SAMA regulatory requirements, assists in regulatory examinations, audits, and inspections, and ensures internal controls are robust and effective. Additional responsibilities include managing banking relationships, treasury operations, liquidity monitoring, settlement processes, and leading statutory and regulatory audits. The Finance Manager works closely with cross-functional teams including Compliance, Risk, Legal, Operations, and Product to provide financial insights and support decision-making in a fast-growing, regulated FinTech environment.

Key responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, reconciliations, and month-end close.
- Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS and group accounting policies.
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis, providing clear financial insights to management.
- Oversee financial control, monitoring, and reconciliation of bank aggregator and settlement accounts subject to SAMA oversight.
- Investigate and resolve reconciling items, timing differences, and exceptions on a timely basis.
- Ensure proper segregation between company funds and merchant/client funds in line with safeguarding requirements.
- Support the Compliance function in meeting SAMA regulatory and financial reporting requirements.
- Design, implement, and maintain strong internal controls over financial reporting and operations.
- Manage banking relationships and oversee cash management, liquidity monitoring, and settlement processes.
- Lead statutory and regulatory audits from a finance perspective and coordinate with external auditors.
- Work closely with Compliance, Risk, Legal, Operations, and Product teams to ensure financial alignment with business activities.
Experience & skills
- Saudi National (mandatory).
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, preferably within banking, financial services, or a regulated FinTech/payments environment.
- Strong understanding of the Saudi regulatory landscape and SAMA requirements relevant to payment service providers.
- Solid knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting standards.
- Professional certifications (SOCPA, CPA, ACCA, CMA) highly preferred.
- Strong financial governance and control mindset.
- High attention to detail with excellent analytical and reporting skills.
- Ability to operate effectively in a regulated, fast-growing FinTech environment.
- Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Proactive, accountable, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
