Job description
Reporting to the Project Quality Manager, this Quality Assurance Engineer verifies that Bechtel's quality program holds across engineering, procurement, construction, testing and commissioning on the Ar Rjum gold project at Dhalm. ISO 9001 and project requirements set the compliance bar. Audit checklists are prepared, and internal, external, vendor, contractor and subcontractor audits are led or supported by you. The Project Quality Audit & Surveillance Schedule keeps findings and corrective actions moving to closure. Site and vendor inspections produce accurate records, with NCRs issued where needed and root cause analysis feeding closed-loop corrective actions. People-Based Quality, Lessons Learned and Continuous Improvement initiatives are also part of the program. Subcontractor and supplier prequalification draws on reviews of quality manuals, procedures, ITPs, test reports and personnel resumes. Client quality representatives and regulators interact with you during audits, and project teams receive QMS training and orientation. Candidates need an engineering degree, ideally Electrical, an IRCA-approved ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor certificate, 10 to 12 years in quality with 8 supervisory, and experience with National Grid and SEC specifications.
