Job description
Metro station enhancement work in Dubai needs a rail systems lead who can take technical ownership of COMS, OCS, and AFC design, coordination, integration, and delivery without interrupting live station operations. You will guide the rail systems team, manage technical outputs, and make sure practical, compliant, and integrated system solutions get developed across design, construction, testing, and commissioning phases. Working closely with multidisciplinary design teams, client representatives, contractors, system suppliers, operators, authorities, and project management teams comes with the territory. Clear technical direction, interface management, and design issue resolution sit at the core of the role, supporting decisions that keep new and modified rail systems coordinated with existing operational assets. Legacy systems, OCC/BOCC requirements, station infrastructure, and applicable authority standards all factor into that coordination. System scope spans MSN, CCTV, PA/PIS, IAS, TN/ECB, NBR, TDS, DVVR, AFC, OCS, telecoms, and associated power distribution systems. Construction documents such as material submittals, method statements, prequalification documents, shop drawings, and as-builts get reviewed as part of the technical oversight. Compliance work covers RTA requirements, UAE regulations, rail design guidelines, telecommunications standards, security requirements, cyber policies, and safety obligations, with technical workshops, design reviews, and coordination meetings running throughout the project.
Required skills
Key responsibilities
