Job description
The Senior Relationship Manager – International Corporate Banking will be responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of corporate clients, particularly financial institutions, across the MENA region. This role is focused on acquiring new clients, strengthening existing relationships, and ensuring profitability while maintaining adherence to the bank’s policies, risk appetite, and compliance standards. The incumbent will provide strategic financial advisory and solutions, including corporate finance, project and structured finance, debt markets, treasury services, and Islamic banking products. The role involves regular client visits, analyzing financial health and industry trends, identifying growth opportunities, and ensuring high-quality credit assessments and approvals. The Senior Relationship Manager will act as a trusted advisor to clients, facilitate cross-selling initiatives, and collaborate closely with internal teams to deliver tailored solutions, all while upholding the highest ethical and professional standards.

Key responsibilities
- Lead and manage business development efforts to acquire new clients and grow existing client relationships.
- Provide clients with tailored solutions from ADCB’s portfolio, including corporate finance, project finance, structured finance, debt markets, treasury, and Islamic banking products.
- Review client dossiers to ensure understanding of current and future financial needs and ensure timely resolution of complaints or issues.
- Conduct client visits and maintain close engagement to understand their risk profile, business operations, and financial requirements.
- Perform detailed analysis of clients’ financial health, industries, and markets to identify lending, cross-selling, and growth opportunities.
- Coordinate and ensure timely processing of credit assessments and approvals for new and existing clients.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop and implement strategies to increase product penetration and wallet share.
- Maintain compliance with internal policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements while managing client relationships.
- Prepare periodic reports for management on portfolio performance, client activity, and market trends.
- Support strategic initiatives and contribute to the development of long-term business plans for the International Corporate Banking division.
Experience & skills
- Minimum 7 years of experience managing corporate client relationships in banking, preferably in the MENA region.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance; CFA, MBA, or FRM preferred.
- Proven expertise in credit analysis, deal structuring, and financial statement review, including key financial ratios.
- Strong knowledge of corporate finance, structured finance, treasury, debt markets, and Islamic banking products.
- Exceptional relationship management, client acquisition, and business development skills.
- Ability to perform detailed financial and industry analysis to support decision-making.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills; Arabic speaking is a plus.
- Ethical, professional, and capable of managing complex client portfolios independently.
- Ability to achieve revenue targets while ensuring high client satisfaction and adherence to bank policies.
- Willingness to travel regionally as needed for client engagement and business development.
