Job description
The Associate Manager, Commercial Development for Planned Shopping (Breakfast Cereals) in the Coastal Arabia cluster is responsible for executing the channel strategy developed by the Cluster CDT lead. This role acts as the channel expert, delivering compelling category stories and ensuring multifunctional alignment across key stakeholders. The role includes overseeing ICP activities, leading category relationships with customers and distributors, implementing PicOS 4Ps solutions, and providing insights from external data sources such as Nielsen, Dunnhumby, and Kantar. Responsibilities also include optimizing promotions and discounts at the channel level, delivering channel playbooks to sales teams including MSL and NPD targets, and maintaining channel KPI tracking through MBPC. The position requires adherence to company principles and policies and aims to drive commercial KPIs and category growth.

Key responsibilities
- Execute ICP activities across the channel within the cluster and monitor effectiveness
- Lead category relationships with key customers and distributors
- Serve as key representative for the channel through the ICP process, ensuring multifunctional alignment and input to growth opportunities and action plans
- Enable implementation of PicOS 4Ps solutions across the channel and key customers, with regular reviews of effectiveness
- Act as single point of contact for Sales and Marketing teams for assigned channel, driving insights using external data resources such as Nielsen, Dunnhumby, and Kantar
- Evaluate and optimize promotions and discounts effectively at the channel level
- Deliver channel playbooks to sales teams including MSL and NPD targets
- Lead and maintain channel KPI tracking through MBPC
- Ensure adherence to all company principles and policies
Experience & skills
- Minimum of 2 years of experience within Generating Demand, including CDT, Sales, A&P, or Marketing functions
- Proven track record of delivering key commercial KPIs and meeting or exceeding business targets in a structured, results-driven environment
- Previous experience in CDT is highly desirable, with demonstrated ability to manage channel strategy execution
- Foundational understanding and practical knowledge of Nielsen, Kantar, and Dunnhumby analytics for consumer and market insights
- Strong analytical and data interpretation skills to convert insights into actionable business recommendations
- Excellent teamworking skills with the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams including Sales, Marketing, and Commercial Development
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to influence stakeholders and build trust with customers and distributors
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver projects within agreed timelines and quality standards
- Familiarity with promotional planning, discount optimization, and MSL/NPD target implementation
- Demonstrated capability to translate commercial and category insights into practical execution plans for field teams
- Understanding of company policies, governance, and compliance requirements within FMCG environments
- Ability to provide leadership and guidance to junior team members and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
- Willingness to travel within the Coastal Arabia cluster for customer and distributor engagement where necessary
