Job description
The Analyst - Transport (Planning) at Transguard Group, based in Dubai Airport Free Zone (DAFZA), plays a central role in the logistics and transport operations of the organization. Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, this role focuses on route optimization, resource utilization, and the execution of daily transport plans across various business units. The position involves leveraging GPS tracking and the Transport Management System (TMS) to monitor and manage fleet operations, ensuring efficient route planning, on-time delivery, and cost optimization. The Analyst will develop actionable insights using Power BI dashboards to monitor key performance indicators such as vehicle utilization, delivery performance, and fuel efficiency. Additionally, the role requires transforming GPS and TMS data into visual analytics for operational decision-making, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. The position directly impacts cost optimization, SLA adherence, and customer satisfaction while promoting automation and innovation in transport processes. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, expertise in logistics software, and proficiency in Power BI for real-time and predictive analytics reporting.

Key responsibilities
- Develop and execute daily transport plans, optimizing routes and schedules based on operational needs and vehicle availability.
- Monitor real-time vehicle movements using GPS tracking systems and respond proactively to delays, route deviations, or vehicle breakdowns.
- Analyze transport data to identify inefficiencies, trends, and opportunities for operational improvement.
- Design and maintain dashboards and KPI reports in Power BI to track delivery performance, fleet utilization, and fuel efficiency.
- Collaborate with drivers, depots, and customer service teams to ensure seamless coordination of daily logistics activities.
- Maintain accurate records of trips, GPS data, and vehicle maintenance logs to support compliance and reporting requirements.
- Ensure all transport operations comply with regulatory, safety, and company standards.
- Support cost optimization initiatives by reducing fuel consumption, overtime, and vehicle wear through efficient planning.
- Use historical data and predictive analytics to forecast demand, peak times, and resource requirements.
- Promote process innovation and automation to streamline transport scheduling, routing, and compliance documentation.
Experience & skills
- Degree or Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in transport planning, logistics coordination, or fleet management.
- Advanced proficiency in GPS tracking systems and Transport Management Systems (TMS).
- Strong knowledge of Power BI, Microsoft Excel, and data visualization tools.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a data-driven mindset.
- Ability to manage multiple operational priorities and adapt to changing business needs.
- Strong organizational and communication skills for cross-departmental coordination.
- Understanding of transport regulations, safety standards, and compliance requirements.
