Job description
A typical engagement week in PwC's Dubai Core Assurance team mixes financial statement analysis, controls testing and plenty of questions put to client staff, both formal and informal. Clients sit outside financial services and span a diverse range of industries. Financial and accounting records get examined alongside tangible items such as inventory and plant and equipment. Before fieldwork starts, you research each client's industry so that procedures designed around risk and materiality make sense. Full ownership of external file completion comes with this level, as do timely updates to the Manager or Partner on risks, issues and variances in time and budget. Engagement economics need tracking, with variances explained. Associates on the team rely on you for review, on-job training and constructive feedback. Risk, quality and independence compliance applies throughout, and business development and digital upskilling are encouraged. Candidates bring progressive Senior Associate experience in a Big 4 firm, a qualification such as ACCA, CA, ACA or CPA completed or in progress, and ideally bilingual Arabic and English.
